What the assessment is for
A provider may use verified application information and other data it is authorized to consult to evaluate the request and possible conditions. This can include identity, income or obligations, but no universal checklist applies to every product.
An initial form or simulator is not necessarily the credit study itself. If an intermediary collects the application, another entity may perform the final assessment and issue any offer.
Credit history and other information
Credit-history information may form part of an assessment, but a report does not dictate one universal outcome. DataCrédito Experian provides official channels for individuals to review information and exercise data rights when something appears inaccurate.
- Read the authorization before allowing data consultation.
- Confirm which company makes the decision.
- Correct possible inaccuracies through official channels.
- Do not pay a third party for guaranteed approval or deletion promises.
After the study
A provider may decline, request more information or present conditions that differ from an initial estimate. Review the final amount, rate, term, charges and payment schedule before accepting. A favorable decision is not an instruction to borrow the maximum offered.
Keep the application and final documents. If you do not understand why information was requested or how it will be used, ask before continuing.
A declined application should not lead to repeated submissions through unknown intermediaries. Review the information already supplied, the permissions granted and whether a different product would remain affordable before applying elsewhere.
Request an explanation through the provider’s documented channel when one is available, but do not assume every decision can or must be changed.
